Christmas Light Up

Cowichan Valley 01/10/2025

You’re warmly invited to visit Merridale this holiday season to take an enchanting walk through a dazzling Christmas display that will light up your spirits and spread joy across the valley.

Our annual Christmas Light Up is FREE and open for all to enjoy. The entire courtyard will transform into a winter wonderland while twinkling lights stretch into the orchard. This is where magical memories are made!

On November 15th, we’ll kick things off with our tree-lighting ceremony to usher in the festive season. This year a 30ft Christmas tree will take centre stage, decorated top to bottom with twinkling lights and handmade ornaments.

Stroll through the courtyard with a cozy mug of mulled cider before you stop for a bite at the Farmhouse Eatery, enjoy a tasting, pick up a few Christmas gifts or join us at one of our holiday events.

Our annual Christmas Light Up is a one-of-a-kind experience designed to bring the Cowichan Valley community together. Bring your camera and your closest friends and family. We can’t guarantee snow but we promise you’ll feel like you’ve just landed at the North Pole when you see the magical scene we have in store for you!

The display will be up and open for anyone to experience free of charge throughout the holiday season. Visit us after dusk for a dazzling light display, or stop by earlier in the day to take in all the details in the incredible display.

Free Laptop or PC Wanted - Your Generosity Would Mean the World!

Hello Vancouver!

I'm reaching out to this amazing community with a humble request. I'm in need of a free laptop or PC, or even a newer Android device (6+ or Oreo or higher). Unfortunately, my budget is currently at zero, but I'm hopeful that someone out there might have an old or unused device they're willing to part with.

Whether it's a laptop that's no longer in use, a PC that's gathering dust, or an Android phone that's been upgraded—your generosity would be incredibly appreciated. I promise to make good use of it and be deeply grateful for any help you can offer.

Thank you so much for considering my request. If you have anything that might fit the bill, please reach out to me. Your kindness could truly make a difference!

Best wishes,

James

Keremeos - Year-round or Summer RV Spot

Delta/Surrey/Langley 04/24/2024

We have a limited number of spots available in our RV park for summer residents and possibly year-round.

Before you contact us, please read all of this ad carefully.

This is an older adult park. We have no infrastructure for children. There is no playground and no facilities nearby.

This is a quiet adult park that is relaxing, cordial, and free of drama. If you have a lot of visitors and get togethers, this is not the park for you.

Spots are 30amp with water, sewer, and electric (which is metered).

You must be self-contained and use your own toilet and shower. Our facilities are mainly for nightly guests and emergencies in your trailer plumbing. You must have a screw on sewer inlet, not just the type that sit on the sewer.

You must have a newer unit that is visually acceptable.

If you are looking for a nice, clean spot to come on the weekends or stay during the summer, you can park your RV for the summer and pay the monthly rate plus your electric (May 1 to September 30) and then move your RV back home in the fall.

If you are looking for a year-round spot, then we will need to have a longer conversation and get to know each other to ensure you are a fit for our park.

If you have questions, please reach out.

The name of the park is unimportant at this time as is the exact location. We are in the Keremeos area, near the river.

If you are interested in coming in next summer or for year-round, please tell us a little bit about you and your situation.

Thanks!
