Timberstar Tractor
7861 Hwy 97-North, Vernon BC.Email resume with a brief email cover letter to: Careers@timberstar.ca
What does a Yard Manager do? Picture this, it’s Monday morning, you jump in the cab of a tractor with your coffee and you’ve got 6 crates of implements to gather for the day’s tractor assemblies. You line them up by the shop for easy access for the crew, then it’s on to organizing the yard to keep it presentable. After that, a semi truck full of equipment arrives, so you jump on the forklift to unload the crates and put them away. You check all the serial numbers to make sure everything is accounted for, sign for the load, and hand in the paperwork. At this point enough scrap wood from the assembly crew has accumulated so you jump in the tractor to load the dump trailer, secure the load, and haul it off to the dump in a 1-ton dually with the dump trailer in tow. Then you’ve got some spare time, so you work on training for a promotion in the area you feel drawn to. So, you either jump in with the assembly crew, as they show you the ropes you assist on getting a few implements assembled and assist on the new tractor build. Or, you jump into the service side, shadow and assist a mechanic on servicing and repairing tractors. Even the parts side, inventory, picking filters, etc.
POSITION SUMMARY
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Pallet Wrangler at Timberstar Tractor, you would be responsible for the following:
• Manage the yard, cleanup and organization of tractor implements on pallets with a tractor or forklift.

• Running to town for parts and occasionally donuts.
• Removal of scrap metal and wood from shop.
• General shop duties as required.
• Grow into Implement assembly skillset
• Grow into Basic tractor service skillset
