*These very calm, gentle & hardy dual-purpose birds can live roughly 10 years rarely getting sick.
*Hens can weigh 6 - 8 lbs, & Roos 8 - 10 lbs which discourages many predators.
*They are world record holders of # of eggs in a year, laying large light brown eggs.
*I’ve never seen an Australorp rooster that showed any type of aggression to anyone.
*They eat less than the more high-strung breeds, & fed on almost only pasture & without lights, they can produce as many or more than other breeds even when the others are being fed layer feed & under lights. With the quickly rising prices of feed, this is a valuable trait.

Little Giant egg incubator. Holds 41 chicken eggs. Purchased in spring of 2024, used once, and thoroughly cleaned afterward. This entire setup retails for $430.
This incubator was manufactured in October 2023 and works very well. It has circulated air, an automatic egg turning tray, and comes complete with the instruction manual. Easy to use.
This incubator is available at Bluebarn in Castlegar, and on Amazon, for $289.99. The automatic egg tray sells separately for $139.99.

13 lambs and rambs from last years plus a bottle feed 1.5 year old nice ramb that could go with 3 ewes that are 12 to13 months old that recently had 3 lambs.

Brand new Omlet Eglu chicken coop. Still in box. I decided not to raise chicks this spring so you save the tax. Coop is made from strong plastic with a wire metal run. Predator proof. Very easy to clean with a hose. Chickens can live in it over the winter. Can easily be dragged/moved by one person to fresh grass every other day. Perfect for chickens and chicks as they can’t escape through wire run. Comes with strong plastic water dish and food dish. I have a small amount of Dutch bantam hatching eggs available right now. Here is a little write up on the breed; (The Dutch Bantam (Dutch: Hollandse Kriel) is among the smallest breeds of true bantams and is a naturally small bird with no related large fowl from which it was miniaturized. It is kept mainly for exhibition but is also a great pet known for its mellow and sweet nature, they was classified as an endangered breed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as of 2007 and I have been breeding them for the past few years trying to help restore their population. I have been getting 90-100% fertility. I am doing a sale of $40 per half dozen instead of the usual $60 until the first of May. Two well built rodent proof rabbit hutches for outdoor use. 10ft long x 3ft deep x 3ft high. Each hutch holds two rabbits with solid wood dividers between, 1/2" wire floor for poop to fall beneath so they're easy cleaning. One hutch is deisgned for doe's with the nesting area larger for putting nesting boxes in, the bucks nesting area smaller. Shingled roof and 100% weather proof your buns will stay dry and comfortable all year round. Currently sitting on saw horses (not included) for easy transport, the legs are off - just lag bolt 2x4s on or use your own saw horses. Feed troughs have been removed.
In a location for easy loading- you can back right up to them! Bring help to load as these guys are built strong and to last so they are heavy. Great set of hutches to start getting into rabbits with!

Have you heard of the Lamancha goat?
Lamancha's are a medium sized dairy goat. The most recognizable trait are their very short ears. They are highly respected for their sweet and calm temperament, their high milk production with a medium /high butter fat content and and their willingness to milk. It's not uncommon for lamanchas to milk 2-3 years through without being re bred. They are more stocky than most other dairy breeds which also makes them interesting for meat goat producers that want to add more milk without loosing too much meat.
My herd is annually tested for CAE and Johne's and . My herd is located in the Cariboo, close to Williams Lake. Transportation may be possible. If interested, I currently only have select doelings available that could be bred if wanted. Individual animals are naturally polled otherwise they are all disbudded
