About 15 years ago, wheelchair seating was exclusively purchased using the Ticketmaster Wheelchair Accessible Seating phone line. When you have to verbally declare that you use a wheeled device, it results in 100% compliance, meaning all of the seats were used appropriately. One person using a wheeled device and their companion.
The ability to purchase these legally required seats has moved online for “ease of access”. And, it is extremely obvious that there was no oversight of the abuse that was foreseeable.
It is surprising how quickly the anonymity of this process has degraded compliance. After the switch to the online format, compliance has dropped to about 30 to 40%.
Soon after this change to online ticket purchasing, we asked Ticketmaster why the change was necessary considering the Ticketmaster Wheelchair Accessible Seating phone line was a low volume, low cost, highly useful, fair and just way of ensuring appropriate usage.
Ticketmaster's response was that the stakeholders demanded the change. Well, as a wheelchair user that has been to a lot of concerts, I can say, I was never consulted on this change, nor have any other disabled patrons I spoke to.
The stakeholders/corporate entities that are benefiting from the switch to online ticket sales are, Live Nation, American Express (who now control the best wheelchair seats at a lot of shows) and the resale sites.
The true stakeholders/wheelchair users were left out of the change and are now being subjected to an erosion of their human rights.
As a monopoly on the distribution of tickets for the majority of events at all large and medium venues Canada wide, Ticketmaster is ultimately responsible to ensure its own policies are being followed by both, itself and the participating venues.
Currently, Ticketmaster and the venues are not on the same page, do not work together to resolve any issues and continuously point fingers at each other to deflect responsibility.
Corporations don’t seem to do the right thing until they are pressured by Class Action Lawsuits. A Class Action Lawsuit should be filed against Ticketmaster for their negligence in ensuring that its own policies are followed. Policies are hollow when not enforced and advocacy is obviously not.
The Consumer Council of Canada is currently investigating Ticketmaster for other issues. We will be sure to bring the wheelchair seating issue to the attention as well. The more people involved the better, so please contact the CCC to voice your opinions and experiences with wheelchair accessible seating.

Being disabled with certain abilities and disadvantages, all fall into the same column of "Disabled". This column has become congested with physical disabilities, invisible disabilities, and seniors.
Persons with invisible disabilities, in particular, are still able to navigate stairs, other terrains and environments.
Persons living on wheels are particularly disadvantaged by the limitations of our modern environment
Our goal, is the reappropriation of the long fought for wheelchair environment adaptions back to those who require this adapted environment.

I am an experienced French tutor with over 9 years in teaching – I am also a polyglot that speaks 6 languages fluently, and I have a background in French linguistics and language acquisition.
I offer PERSONALIZED + PRIVATE lessons for GRADE 8 - 12 students in:
- Pre IB

- FINAL IB EXAM PREPARATION

In all lessons, I follow the provincial or IB curriculum for ministry mandated topics, and I supplement students in their weaker areas as needed. Students have improved from 75% to 90% for core French and from a low 4 to a mid-6 for IB under my teaching.
Gr.11 IB students will receive mock exams to familiarize themselves with the exam format, style, and marking scheme. I know how examiners mark IB exams, so students will receive specialized coaching from me.

The 2026 Summer Youth Photo Camp offers a dynamic week of hands-on learning,
creative exploration, and technical skill development. Participants will immerse
themselves in a variety of activities, exercises, and experiences designed to foster
both artistic and technical growth. By the end of the week, they will have gained
an understanding of exposure, lighting, image critiques, and non-traditional
photography techniques.
The camp will conclude with a Friday exhibition for family, friends and ViewPoint
members, showcasing the participants’ work, celebrating the progress and
achievements. Armed with new skills and insights, participants will be equipped to
enhance their personal photographic practices and create thoughtful, impactful
images with any camera. Activities include photo walks, gallery visits, alternative
printing methods, exhibition preparation, and more!

Looking for some guidance and maybe a little community help.
I'm a medically retired guy living on a fixed disability income. I live with several disabilities, including cPTSD, chronic pain, and shoulder issues that affect my day-to-day life.
My specialists and physiotherapist have been encouraging me to gradually rebuild strength and function through proper exercise, but hiring a personal trainer is simply beyond what I can afford at the rates I've noticed.
I'm wondering if there are any personal trainers, kinesiologists, fitness enthusiasts, or rehab-minded people in the area who might be willing to help me develop a simple, realistic exercise plan and provide some occasional guidance. Going to a gym is unrealistic since the passing of my service dog.
I'm open to thinking outside the box. If there's a way I can trade skills, help with computer or technology-related tasks, or contribute in some other way within my physical limitations, I'd be happy to discuss it.
I'm not looking for a handout or a miracle cure. I'm simply trying to improve my quality of life, reduce pain, and regain some strength and independence.
