1. Security Deposit
• A $600.00 e-transfer security deposit is required to secure your booking.
• The deposit will be returned by e-transfer no later than the day after departure, provided there are no damages.
• Any damages to the property, furnishings, or household items caused during your stay will be deducted from the deposit at the owner’s discretion based on repair/replacement costs.
2. Rental Payment
• The total rental fee of $1350.00 is due in full upon arrival, in CASH ONLY.
3. Check-In & Check-Out
• Check-in: 2:00 p.m.
• Check-out: Promptly at 10:00a.m.
• Please respect the check-out time to allow sufficient time for cleaning and maintenance.
• All keys must be returned to the owners upon departure. Failure to return keys will result in a deduction from your deposit.
4. Occupancy & Guests
• Maximum occupancy: 4 overnight guests
• Day guests are welcome at a rate of $15.00 per person, per day, payable in cash daily.
5. Smoking & Noise Policy
• No smoking or candle use is allowed inside the cottage. Outdoor ashtrays are provided.
• Please maintain a quiet environment after 11:00 p.m. in respect of nearby neighbors.
6. Docking Fees
• A $50.00 flat weekly docking fee applies if bringing or renting a watercraft.
• Fee must be paid in cash prior to docking. Only one watercraft is permitted.
• Unpaid docking will result in a deduction from your deposit.

My husband and I are expat Canadians who sold everything during Covid, and bought a hotel in beloved Surfside community of Costa Rica. Much of our cottage time was spent on the shores of Turkey Point, fishing, BBQing and enjoying the water (and of course Pottahawk) with family and friends. Prices for cottage rentals have gotten quite high over the years so we are thrilled to open our doors to fellow cottagers throughout the upcoming summer and fall season. About the area: Chorotega House in popular Surfside Potrero, offers a tranquil family retreat for unforgettable vacations in the picturesque Flamingo Marina area in Guanacaste region. Famous for being a safe and centralized location for easy day tripping, and home to 3 of the 5 best beaches in all of Costa Rica! You are a 5min walk to popular Potrero beach where you can rent all the water toys to satisfy all ages, or enjoy sunset cocktails at nearby trendy restaurants or hit up a yoga class and markets. This area has it all and it's only 45 minutes from Liberia Airport.
About the house: This solid bungalow called Casa Chorotega after the indigenous tribe of the area is fully equipped and can accommodate six people comfortably. There is an ambient backlit king size bed, with private ensuite bathroom, boasting a rare adobe style handcrafted inground soaker tub. There is also a second bath room for a bedroom with 2 single beds, and a third bedroom with a deluxe comfort, splitable king size bed. The kitchen boasts trendy authentic handcrafted encaustic tiles from Nicaragua, made in the same way as they did it over 100 years ago. The living area is adorned with “sweated” antique indigenous masks that were worn in ceremony many years ago, and some hunting artifacts from a nearby tribe. This is truly an authentic jungle lux experience. This villa is located on the grounds of our small boutique hotel, so you will get a whole resort to just yourselves! For the first time ever the hotel will be otherwise closed, but still staffed, and we'll be around so you literally can have a whole resort rental for a fraction of the typical cost. This is a fantastic location and a great 3 bedroom cottage plus a separate sleeping cabin. The cottage is well equipped and there is a propane BBQ in a shelter on the rear deck. (Propane is provided.) The cottage provides plenty of privacy and the manicured gardens provide a comfortable and quiet place to relax. Two of the three bedrooms have queen size beds, the third has a double bed. The sleeping cabin has a double bed and standard size bunk beds.

Red and White is well stocked with most anything you might have forgotten so duck in there for beach toys to fire wood. LCBO is also a 5 minute walk if you need to restock.

The ATV trails up the mountain are breath taking! Ride your ATV on the numerous maintained trails or find your own path in the back country.

During the summer LaCasa provides guests with numerous amenities including 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, tennis courts, a volleyball court, mini golf, a restaurant (during seasonal operation), kids play area, and a general store. Our beachfront has several tanning decks with loungers and three large aqua-parks (trampoline and slides). Make use of the kayaks and paddle boards available at the beach as well. The amenities are open from May Long Weekend till September Long weekend.
Playing in the Okanagan allows you access to fourteen wineries all within a 1 hour drive of LaCasa including Summerhill Pyramid, Grey Monk, Mission Hill, Cedar Creek, and Quail's Gate. It also has world renowned Golf Courses nearby. Kelowna is well known for its many locally owned restaurants with an assortment of menus and night life that features a Casino, theater, or family oriented activities.
Rather then drive to town to get groceries use the Save On Foods delivery service, order from the West Kelowna store and have it delivered the next day.
Personally, we go to the cottage to enjoy the Okanagan and its range of outdoor activities. There are a lot of activities at the resort but we like to use it as our base camp for all that the Okanagan has to offer. Silver Star Mountain is 60 minutes away and is a year round playground featuring Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow-shoeing in the winter and a Mountain bike park with hiking in the summer. Activities in the area range from zip lining, paintball, biking (family oriented, road biking, and mountain biking), hiking, and bungee jumping. Oh yea, there is also Lake Okanagan which is incredible to Paddleboard, kayak, swim, and boat in and there is a special dog beach because your pet can stay and they love the water as well. Do yourself a favour, come enjoy the great Okanagan, right on the lakefront. You will not regret it!
