The homeowner’s needs shift and change, but overall there is a cyclical nature to systemic Lyme Disease. She experiences multiple cycles of symptoms. One cycle includes up to two weeks when she is bedridden, cognitive impairment, and needs a higher level of support. Another cycle includes limited movement within the house, physical weakness, and mental health challenges. Another cycle includes a greater sense of physical and mental wellbeing, the enjoyment of walks, ability to make simple meals, TV, etc. Since the onset of symptoms nine months ago, there is a gradual improvement as she continues with her treatment.
