Conference Services is an entrepreneurial division of Student Affairs and Services (SAS) that provides meeting, event and accommodation facilities and services to internal and external clients, the proceeds from which help to fund student services, programs, and facilities. Our team is focused on best-in-class service to clients across five business units: Accommodations, Central Booking Office, Wu Conference Centre, Conference Management Services, and Special Events, all of which are supported by both our Sales & Marketing team and our Administration team.

YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director of Conference Services, the Client Services Coordinator works primarily within the Central Booking unit providing front-line service to internal and external clients looking to book space for meetings and events on campus. This position works closely with the Director and Manager, Finance & Operations, to process invoices, track files and perform other administrative functions for Conference Services.
- Provide front-line service to all internal and external clients booking space on campus.
- Provide back-up and assistance for space booking and event logistics for other UNB campuses and sites.
- Coordinate all event approvals for outdoor space, filming on campus, fundraising, events involving animals, and other complex events or events that involve risk mitigation and/or other departments.
- Collaborate with service delivery providers to ensure all services are delivered in line with expectations.
- Direct all incoming letter mail, emails, phone calls and walk-ins to the correct team member.
- Distribute, negotiate, and keep information on file for client contracts and confirmations.
- Collaborate with the Conference Services team to triage requests and delegate responsibility for booking.
- Ensure all financial information is entered accurately and updated immediately in space booking software so that invoices may be processed accurately and efficiently.
- Actively engage in the development and implementation of procedures related to administering campus space policy and running the central booking unit.
- Issue quotes and contracts related to meeting room bookings and associated services.
- Maintain knowledge of all bookable spaces on all campuses and their related amenities, special policies, and appropriate use.
- Work on-site before and at events to ensure best-in-class service is delivered to our clients.
- Offer practical solutions in day-to-day challenges which demonstrates an understanding of business objectives and the collegiate conferencing industry.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining client files, contracts, and requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Post Secondary diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality & Tourism or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Client Services.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Production Management Trainee (PMT) position provides high potential, talented university graduates with an opportunity to join the McCain Team and establish a strong foundation in understanding the business with the purpose of developing into future leaders of McCain Foods.
PMT trainees will participate in a two-year Manufacturing Management development program, whereby a trainee will complete formal, self-guided, and applied learning experiences by partnering with senior, skilled subject matter experts in our manufacturing operations and plant teams. PMT trainees are provided cross-functional experience from "field to fork" within the product life cycle to learn all aspects of the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Observe experienced staff and gain knowledge about process, procedures, methods and standards that are required for performing a supervisory role within each of the program focus areas.
- Complete the structured progression plan and required assignments including on-the-job training, mentorship, self-guided learning, training courses and applied learning experiences through rotational assignments within the manufacturing process.
- Organize and lead work teams within assigned focus areas including scheduling, safety, daily operations, and performance management. Duties include decision-making, leadership, and administrative components of the roles assigned.

Position Summary
We are looking for an Agricultural Intern to join us for a 3+ month period, starting in May 2024. This position is based in Grand Falls, New Brunswick as part of our North American Agriculture team.
During your internship, you will have exposure to grower relations, crop monitoring and intelligence, raw product alignment, cost of production, research and applied science and extension activities including agronomy and sustainability, and the general operation of a commercial agriculture department. You will also see firsthand how McCain's potatoes are produced and processed into finished product for our customers.You will be exposed to McCain manufacturing operations and will have the opportunity to complete a series of in-house training modules that are part of a wider McCain Agriculture training program.
Upon successful completion of the internship as well as completion of a diploma or degree in an agriculture field, you will be a step ahead of other candidates considered for full time employment within McCain Foods LTD.The Team

What You Will Be Working On
As an intern, you will be in a support position at the local office to research and analyze data to improve crop management in the area. Work is planned and conducted under the guidance of the Agronomist and with advice from the Department Manager. Projects may include the following:
- Assist in developing research needed to determine best practices for sustainability goals
- Investigate pest/disease management practices in the local area
- Statistical evaluation to identify best practices and data trends
- Track and evaluate potato varieties and their performance in the factory
- Monitor and analyze internal raw product inspection procedures
- Educate local growers on new field production and storage management techniques through written material, field demonstrations, tours, seminars, and workshops
- Promote relations between company and growers through periodic farm and storage visits
- Assist in collection and analysis of grower field and/or bin sampling program

What You Need to be Successful
- College Junior/Senior or Undergrad majoring in Ag Science, Plant Science, Ag Business, Ag Economics or closely related discipline
- Knowledge of farm practices and vegetable production is desirable but not necessary
- Basic to Intermediate skills in word processing, spreadsheet, data management and presentation preparations. Statistical computer application would be beneficial
- Communication skills – must be able to speak effectively both to individuals as well as to groups, making short presentations in groups settings, familiar with video conferencing
- Must be able to write routine correspondence and reports to a variety of audiences
- A valid driver's license, comfortable flying/driving long distances
- Comfortable working outside in different weather conditions under the sun and variety of temperatures

Lassistant-chef déquipe appuie le gérant de magasin, lassistant-gérant et le chef déquipe dans le cadre des activités quotidiennes et du bon fonctionnement des magasins. En cas dabsence du gérant de magasin, de lassistant-gérant et du chef déquipe, il sassure que les procédures douverture, de fermeture du magasin et de gestion des actifs soient correctement suivies.
Responsabilités clés
Lassistant-chef déquipe est responsable des tâches suivantes:- Gérer les ressources du magasin afin de maximiser les résultats, lapparence du magasin tout en sassurant davoir constamment des produits sur les tablettes;
- Sassurer que les employés travaillent de manière sécuritaire;
- Veiller à ce que les normes et procédures internes de la compagnie soient expliquées, comprises et suivies par tous les membres de léquipe;
- Opérer une caisse enregistreuse;
- Aider à la réception et au stockage de la marchandise;
- Sassurer que les normes de présentation de la marchandise soient suivies;
- Fournir un service à la clientèle de qualité;
- Sassurer de la propreté du magasin.
- Minimum dun an dexpérience dans un poste de commerce de détail;

Position Summary
We are looking for an Agricultural Intern to join us for a 3+ month period, starting in May 2024. This position is based in Grand Falls, New Brunswick as part of our North American Agriculture team.
During your internship, you will have exposure to grower relations, crop monitoring and intelligence, raw product alignment, cost of production, research and applied science and extension activities including agronomy and sustainability, and the general operation of a commercial agriculture department. You will also see firsthand how McCain's potatoes are produced and processed into finished product for our customers.
You will be exposed to McCain manufacturing operations and will have the opportunity to complete a series of in-house training modules that are part of a wider McCain Agriculture training program.
Upon successful completion of the internship as well as completion of a diploma or degree in an agriculture field, you will be a step ahead of other candidates considered for full time employment within McCain Foods LTD.

What You Will Be Working On
As an intern, you will be in a support position at the local office to research and analyze data to improve crop management in the area. Work is planned and conducted under the guidance of the Agronomist and with advice from the Department Manager. Projects may include the following:- Assist in developing research needed to determine best practices for sustainability goals
- Investigate pest/disease management practices in the local area
- Statistical evaluation to identify best practices and data trends
- Track and evaluate potato varieties and their performance in the factory
- Monitor and analyze internal raw product inspection procedures
- Educate local growers on new field production and storage management techniques through written material, field demonstrations, tours, seminars, and workshops
- Promote relations between company and growers through periodic farm and storage visits
- Assist in collection and analysis of grower field and/or bin sampling program
- Analyze cost of production
- Other projects as assigned

What You Need to be Successful- College Junior/Senior or Undergrad majoring in Ag Science, Plant Science, Ag Business, Ag Economics or closely related discipline
- Knowledge of farm practices and vegetable production is desirable but not necessary
- Basic to Intermediate skills in word processing, spreadsheet, data management and presentation preparations. Statistical computer application would be beneficial
- Communication skills – must be able to speak effectively both to individuals as well as to groups, making short presentations in groups settings, familiar with video conferencing
- Must be able to write routine correspondence and reports to a variety of audiences
- A valid driver's license, comfortable flying/driving long distances
- Comfortable working outside in different weather conditions under the sun and variety of temperatures
- Occasionally requires substantial physical effort and working in awkward positions

Position Title: Process Control Engineer

The role also serves as a functional lead and will be instrumental in leading the Process Optimization initiatives. This position also assists in the effective management of the plant's sanitation program, HACCP, recall program, external audits and food safety compliance, and acts as Carberry liaison for all Technical, R&D, and Innovation interactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Serves as functional lead for process optimization using statistical data, including performing design of experiments on the production line and the development of functional process control models.
- Lead training efforts in the application of statistical methods in Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Assist in the development and execution of Process Control training programs to ensure proper training of all Quality personnel.
- Continuous Improvement Projects and development tools to improve processes
- Direct activities of employees engaged in inspection and testing to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Perform studies on measurement systems (MSA) to ensure proper calibration protocols are in place and actions are taken when calibration systems fail.
- Monitor products and processes for conformance to standards, assists in prompt and thorough investigation when product safety may be compromised and minimize the amount of nonstandard/held product.
- Develop process control implementation packages for roll out of formula recipe management.
- Play an active role on potato group quality management teams to include SPC.
- Work with other factories of global process control to incorporate best practices into the plant procedures.
- Lend technical assistance as required to production, maintenance and sanitation personnel.
- Liaison between corporate R&D team and plant management to ensure efficient hand over of new product development, PST's, and Product Optimization.
- Assist in the adaptation of new products and new process procedures to production routine.
- Lead BOP's (Best Operating Practices) for safety, quality, cost and delivery on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with Safety, Health, and Quality staff to ensure sites manufacturing processes are safely designed, audited and operated in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist in initiation and implementation of the preparation of new or revised product specifications, process parameters, and procedures.
- Liaise with Sanitation personnel and assist where applicable in the setting of sanitation targets and objectives that compliment company policies and goals.
- Assist with the introduction of new processes or equipment.
- Directly supervise all Process Control employees. Provide training, coaching, discipline, recognition, and leadership as appropriate.
- Ensure that all employees consistently follow safety policies and practices, and promptly address safety issues.

REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Food Science, Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years' experience in frozen food manufacturing operations
- 3-5 years' experience Quality experience in food processing
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical knowledge with production activities
- Proficient use of statistical methods
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools to be used on mechanical and processing issues
- Must have working knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles and practices, computer systems, and production processes and equipment used in the food industry
