Website and testimonials: https://www.alexwhorms.com/teaching
Hi there! My name is Alex Whorms. I am a professional musician and composer, offering piano and singing lessons since 2012. Throughout my career I have had the privilege to study many styles of piano and vocal music through the Royal Conservatory of Music, New York University, Humber College, and McMaster University. Through my music industry experience as a songwriter, recording artist, and film soundtrack composer, I have learnt many practical skills, ranging from performance etiquette to music technology.
It is a true passion of mine to inspire and motivate a new generation of musicians while providing them with a well-rounded musical skillset including strong sight-reading abilities, healthy physical technique, theory, ear training, and performance mastery.
All students are invited to perform in virtual recitals which I host 4 times a year! Many students choose to prepare for
- Royal Conservatory Examinations
- University and College Auditions
- Concerts and Recording Sessions
- Songwriting and Composition Projects
I enjoy creating customized lesson plans for each student to help them achieve their own unique goals and realize their creative potential. I sincerely hope music lessons will be a source of joy for every student for years to come!

-J.C., beginner piano student**About Us**
David's musical training started at the age of 8, when he began attending St Michael's Choir School (SMCS) in Toronto. At St Michael's, David not only received extensive musical training in piano and singing, but also toured as a choirboy in Canada and internationally. His interest in a variety of musical styles inspired him to learn guitar, drums, and organ. He completed RCM grade 10 in piano and continued to earn a Bachelor of Music at Carleton University (CU) in 2013. Since then, David has been teaching students privately and with music schools throughout the GTA. He continues to perform in a variety of ensembles; David currently holds lead positions with the Etobicoke Centennial Choir and St John's United Church in Oakville.Daniella's musical journey began with violin lessons at the age of 3. She was an active choir and band member through high school and also studied piano, voice, flute, and viola privately. Daniella earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lawrence University (Appleton, Wisconsin, U.S.A.) in 2009 and has since sought additional vocal training through opera programs and private study in North America, Europe, and Israel. Since moving to Canada in 2017, Daniella has performed as both a soloist and professional ensemble lead in recital, choral, and operatic settings. She is currently a soloist at St John's United Church in Oakville, co-hosts The Art Song Podcast with Suzanne Yeo, and is a founding member of Opera Sustenida, a Toronto-based independent opera company making opera more relatable through innovative use of virtual and online platforms.

Madison is a classically trained but forward thinking performer and teacher who is always finding ways to think outside the box.
She has taught flute and piano for over 13 years, students aged 4-80, in private lessons, group classes, and workshops. She holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours & Distinction from Western University, and has since performed with the Mandle Philharmonic, the Stratford Symphony, and the Scarborough Philharmonic, to name a few. Madison also enjoyed performing on Parliament Hill with the Canadian Forces for 5 summers, where she honed a love for the piccolo, and for playing very energetic music! She also enjoys learning more about early music, and playing her wooden Baroque flute.Madison currently lives in Hamilton, and balances music with hiking, cycling, languages, beekeeping, and reading. She is currently accepting new students of all levels, and can't wait to be in touch with you!
