The key responsibilities of a Steel Framer are the following:
-Follow directions provided by Foreman or Superintendent
-Install light gauge and heavy gauge steel framing (exterior walls, interior walls, floors etc.)
-Install drop ceiling systems
-Installation of T-bar grid and Tiles
-Installation of drywall
-Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
-Train prospective employees.
-Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
-Layout floor plans
-Set up and take down scaffolding as required
-Clock in and clock out on company timesheet including detailed description of duties performed.
-Ensure scope of work is being completed efficiently and according to company standards
-Train apprentices and prospective employees.
Job Qualifications
-Minimum 1 year work experience installing drywall or framing on mid-sized residential or commercial constructions projects
-In - depth knowledge of construction process from material selection, --techniques, and tools
-Take pride in their work
-Detail oriented
-Physically able to lift heavy tools and materials
-Able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings is a benefit but not required
-Effective communication skills with the ability to give and take direction from others
-Must be punctual and having own means of transportation
-Great attitude and willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

We are looking for a hard-working experience construction labourer to help on our job sites. We are currently looking for employees to join the crew to help with ‘fit-up’ projects. This includes concrete work, framing, drywall, and finishing. We are looking for reliable motivated individuals that would like to grow their career in construction. We mainly focus in the commercial and industrial markets.
Role Responsibilities:
-Use of heavy-duty tools; Concrete saws, and other various tools.
-Use of power tools; Drills, Impact drivers, Reciprocating saws, Circular saws, grinders, and common construction tools.
-Ability to lift heavy things in the 50lbs range.
-Occasional operation of equipment such as skid steers and telehandlers.
-Demolition and removal of building materials.
-Installation of new building materials.
-Following instructions form the foreman.
-Working safely and wearing required PPE at all times.
-Rebar, form, and concrete work.
Current project requires the following tasks completed:
1. Perform rough work: Framing partition walls, Framing rough openings and headers, Placing insulation batts, Installing vapour barrier, Installing drywall and sheathing materials, Priming and painting
2. Finish Work: Flooring, Doors and windows, Trim, Exterior steel siding
Employment Requirements:
-3-5+ years construction experience, specifically with fit-ups
-Must own a vehicle, as sites are not accessible by public transit
-Must be punctual and reliable
-Ability to lift heavy things
-Work well with team
-Wearing PPE at all times
-Own a pair of CSA approved steel toe work boots.
-Comfortable working at heights
-Comfortable working in winter conditions
