Hi everyone
I am looking to exchange houses for 1 or 2 months. Mine is in St Côme, sector Lanaudière, Québec. 1h45 from downtown Montreal.
The cottage is in a private ski domain, the popular ski Station Val St Côme is just behind the house. Almost a ski in/ ski out. There is a private skating ring in the domain, a fancy grocery store for coffees, treats, woods, local products. I have an outdoor fireplace.
The area is knowed for any sports: crosscountry ski, flat bike, downhill ski, hiking, snowshoing, skating, 4 wheeing and skidoo everywhere lost of trails.... starting this wekend the Val St Côme station has the Ski World Cup competitions people come from everywhere for it, the village (5 min drive) is having its Ice festival scultures, concerts,shows. At the village tourist office, you would find much more to do.

We just exchange properties. I pay my Quebec house bills, you continue paying yours. No dogs, no smooking of any sort. We keep properties spotless clean respecfully. I have a fixed, no nails old cat. He comes with me.

Je fais, présentement, un travail de recherche sur les bienfaits de la zoothérapie ainsi que sur le bien-être et la protection des animaux et des oiseaux, c'est pourquoi, j'aimerais bénéficier du témoignage anonyme de personnes intéressées à ce sujet. La zoothérapie est une thérapeutique animale qui vient en aide aux êtres humains afin de leur prêter assistance dans plusieurs situations, spécialement par l'utilisation du chien. L'animal est un compagnon idéal car il ne juge pas son maître, qu'il soit pauvre ou riche, gros ou maigre, laid ou beau, mal vêtu ou pas, mal logé ou pas. L'animal offre sa présence affectueuse en échange d'un peu de nourriture, d'un toit sur sa tête et d'un peu d'attention à son égard. On remarque à la télévision, dans les émissions de refuge pour animal, que lorsqu'un chien est adopté par un inconnu, il est heureux de quitter sa cage et de sauter dans la voiture de son nouveau maître qui va enfin lui offrir la liberté et la survie. Dans la vie, lorsque le maître rentre à la maison, il est accueilli avec enthousiasme et affection par son animal de compagnie, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas entre humains. Des chercheurs ont démontré que la présence de l'animal auprès de son maître avait un effet thérapeutique en faisant baisser l'hypertension, en réduisant l'anxiété et en augmentant la dopamine ( hormone du plaisir et du bonheur ), plus encore, certains chiens peuvent flairer le cancer chez les humains et ainsi , on espère venir en aide au dépistage traditionnel. Dans la nature, des chercheurs ont remarqué que si vous nourrissez des oiseaux, ceux-ci vont se rappeler de vous toute leur vie en mémorisant parfaitement votre visage étant donné que leurs yeux sont comme des loupes tandis que si vous nourrissez des écureuils, ils vont se rappeler de vous par l'odorat plutôt que par la vue. Dans les années 1890, des psychiatres de New York ont traité l'agressivité de certains enfants en leur demandant de nourrir des écureuils dans le '' Central Park '', c'était alors le début de la zoothérapie qui est la fusion avec l'esprit ou l'énergie de l'animal à la condition de non seulement aimer mais aussi d'avoir de la passion pour l'animal ( fusion difficile entre humains à cause de la complexité de l'humain ou de son manque de simplicité ). Donc on réalise que la zoothérapie fait son oeuvre non seulement à la maison mais aussi dans la nature. Par contre, étant donné que les règlements municipaux ne permettent pas, en ville, de nourrir les animaux sauvages et certaines espèces d'oiseaux, il faudra se contenter de les observer plutôt que de les nourrir et bénéficier ainsi de leur présence. Finalement, je fais un appel à tous et à toutes pour aider, dans la mesure du possible, au bien-être et à la protection des animaux et des oiseaux dans ce monde souvent violent, cruel et sans pitié ( appelez le MAPAQ au 1-844-ANIMAUX ou 1-844-264-6289 pour signaler un animal domestique ou sauvage négligé, maltraité, blessé ou malade). No More $1 Car Sales At The SAAQ. Mandatory Revenu Quebec Evaluations!
The Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec, or SAAQ, has changed their regulations concerning the payment of QST on the sale of vehicles. It will no longer agree to calculate provincial tax on vehicle sales of $1, even in the case where both the seller and the buyer agree that $1 was the transaction price. As of about a week ago, the minimum sale price of a vehicle for calculating the QST is now set at $500.
It Gets Worse
For certain vehicles between the ages of 9-25 years that are too old to appear in the SAAQ's evaluation book, you need to have this vehicle evaluated by Revenu Quebec in order for the SAAQ to calculate how much TVQ is owed in the event of a private sale.
MontrealRacing member mathieulsutton posted what we would consider a horror story about the new rule. Here is a copy of his post on the forum but briefly he says he went to buy a $1,000 vehicle for parts because the Nissan Murano he had bought three weeks earlier blew its engine. The SAAQ sent him to a Revenu Quebec office downtown where he waited an hour and a half to be told his car was worth $4,000. He had to pay $400 in provincial sales taxes on this amount or he could contest and pay $150 to have it re-evaluated. At this point, he had to return to the SAAQ and finish the transaction.
It seems that the SAAQ and Revenu Quebec don’t understand that many vehicles this age are not in full working condition and are worth less than the “book” value. They expect a person to pay $150 to have an evaluation done on a vehicle worth $1,000 in order to avoid paying the full TVQ. Oh and prepare to waste half your day doing so...

• When transferring an accidented or not repaired vehicle
• Reconstructed vehicle bearing the VGA status (vehicle gravely accidented)
• Higher than average mileage/kilometers
• Condition of the vehicle i.e. rust, advanced wear, major mechanical problem
• Vehicle to be restored
• All vehicles over 25 years old (mandatory evaluation required by the SAAQ).
