Job Description:Job Description Weight loss coach A private bariatric practice in Saskatchewan is looking for an experienced coach to join a multidisciplinary, evidence-based weight-loss program. The core objective of the coaching is to provide virtual/on-on-one guidance and support to patients receiving advanced care strategies such as pharmacotherapy and gastric balloons. The ideal candidate should be capable of providing: 1. Personalized Care A good candidate should be comfortable tailoring their approach to fit individual needs. One size does not fit all when it comes to weight loss, and a proficient coach should be willing to work with the patient to develop a plan that is specifically designed for his/her unique circumstances. Ideal candidates should be comfortable teaching patients how to use digital platforms and devices such as mobile apps, Bluetooth scales and wearables (smartwatches) provided by the clinic. 2. Evidence-based Methods Ideal candidates for this position should be proficient and focused on evidence-based interventions that have been proven to be safe and effective for weight loss. [CVR1] 3. Effective Communication Skills High proficiency and communication skills in English are required. Ideal candidates may be comfortable communicating with patients and team members openly and honestly, listening attentively and providing feedback that is both respectful and helpful. 4.
