Why buy new when we can make use of job site waste or materials that can be recycled?
My friend ElizaBeth Hill and I are thrilled to be building a sculptural project for Ice Follies 2023 -- an outdoor installation of artworks on Lake Nippissing in North Bay, February 2023. In January, we'll be busy building and would love to recycle before we buy new. If you have your hands on any of the following materials you'd be interested in donating towards our project, "Roof of Reprieve" please let us know by January 5th, thank yoU!
-white paint (outdoor use)
-lumber (2x4s in 8 and 10 foot lengths)
-plywood (large-ish scrap pieces could work!)
-metal roofing that is lustrous and mirror-like in quality. Even aluminum or other metals that could work as roofing -- preferably without ridges.More info about the festival:

I am looking for information on the Zwarych family that lived in Fort William, Thunder Bay, Ontario. My grandfather was born around 1928 but was eventually taken in by a family with the last name Jarvis.
I don't know how accurate the information I have is and my sources have passed away (grandfather, grandmother, and my own father).
My grandfather was Stephan Zwarych. He change his wife and kids names to Jarvis is 1972. He was born in 1928. He had a brother who died at 11 months old in 1925 (William). His father was Dmytro or Metro and his Mother was named Rose or Ras (nee Tkah).
We were led to believe he was given away after his mother died and Dmytro remarried and started a new family. Stephan may have a full or half sister named Eva who became an Opera singer? He was supposedly 12 years old when this happened.
If this rings a bell in your families' story telling please get in touch with me.

We're a Thunder Bay-based thrash metal band looking for another lead guitar player to do dual-solos with another guitar player. We write and play original content. We are open to players of all skill levels who are reliable, will actively participate in band activity, and will put in time and effort to learn the songs (some of which are difficult). Stylistic influences of the band music are largely Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Death Angel, Soulfly, Suicidal Tendencies, and Havok, but there is influence from other metal and non-metal genres (especially classical). Preferred candidates would be between ages 17-25 (although not necessary). If you're not from Thunder Bay but you live in the Northwestern Ontario region, I'm sure we can make some kind of arrangement for band practices. Please message us on Kijiji or email us at cdntband@gmail.com
