My name is Allyson, my family lives in Ingersoll, Ontario. We’re looking for a nanny to join our family, and we’re willing to negotiate a fair salary for the right candidate. I have recently had my cancer diagnosis come back and will be entering treatment this summer so will be looking for someone who can help keep our home running, and help create joyful times for our kiddos during a difficult time. I’m eager to spend time doing fun activities with my babies but know that I likely won’t have the stamina needed. There will also be days where I’m likely unable to participate much in parenting and we will be looking for the nanny to step up on those days to fill the gaps. In your role, you will be responsible for 3 children aged 8 (boy), 5 (boy) and 3 (girl). Our oldest son has some special needs mostly related to communication and quirky personality traits and is diagnosed with Apert Syndrome. We are also looking for general housekeeping and meal prep duties. While we don’t have an exact schedule of what we need as we wait for more information on my treatment schedule, we know that it will likely be full time during the weeks of the summer with some flexibility and likely the potential for the role to continue part time into the fall/winter season if interested. If you meet these requirements and would like to join our family, please message me. Hello,
I’m the babysitter of two great boys, ages 8 and 12. I’ll be leaving Ingersoll at the end of May for the summer, so I’m helping to find someone to take my place. The boys are in a single parent household, and their dad is in need of somebody urgently. He works at Toyota, rotating shifts so the schedule changes from day shift to night shift every two weeks. The first shift available (Mon, May 29th is the first week of the night shift)
The day shift is Mon-Friday from 5:30-9am (8:45 is when boys leave for school, and you can leave after that). This will be until the school year (Last week of June).
The duties of this shift include:
-waking the boys up at 8am (you are free to also sleep until this time, if you choose)
-putting lunches in backpacks (already pre-made and packed)
-helping 8 yr old with basic tasks (putting toothpaste on toothbrush, zipping coat)
- feed 8 yr old breakfast (microwave pancake, toast and butter)
-make sure children leave for school on time.
Altogether, it’s a very easy and straight forward shift. Kids are both responsible and wake up without an issue.
Once school is out, the day shift is Mon-Friday, from 5:30am until 4pm.
At this time, the boys do not have a specific wake up time. Older one will sleep in until late morning usually, younger one still wakes up around 8:30am.
This shift requires:
- Feeding kids breakfast and lunch (simple meals such as grilled cheese, canned soup, etc)
- Feed 8yr old snacks (strawberries, cheese&crackers)
- Light housekeeping (tidying up after activities)
- Supervising kids while they swim (pool in backyard, kids swim well)
The night shift is from 4:45pm until 4:30am. This shift requires that the babysitting be in-house, since the end of the shift is at night. The house has accommodations, in case you’d prefer to sleep for the whole night and leave in the morning. Once 8 yr old is in bed/sleeping, you are also free to go to sleep. They boys have an early supper, so making dinner is not part of the duties.
This shift requires:
- Snack prep (cheese&crackers, toast, popcorn)
- Make sure 8yr old has a bath every other night (put water in tub, he can do the rest)
- Make sure boys brush teeth before bed
- Nightly reading with 8 yr old (20 mins)
- Make sure 8 yr old puts PJs on and have him in bed by 9 (during school) and 10 (during summer).
- Light housekeeping (tidy up activities, clean up after making food)
- Supervise boys while they swim (again, pool in backyard, kids swim well)
Their father (Mark) has holidays on the weeks of:
- June 11th - 16th
- July 16th - 21st
- July 23rd - 30th
- Aug 13th - 18th
- Aug 27th - 31st
However, these weeks can be switched/moved if you want more shifts, or another week would work better with your schedule.
People with partial availability are welcome!
Please message me or text me (Sara) at (250-231-7190), if you’re interested in this job or have any questions about it. You can also contact Mark directly at (226 626-3564). Compensation is negotiable and can be discussed with Mark. Thank you!
