Methanex is currently seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join the team in Medicine Hat, AB, on a full-time basis.
The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer supports and collaborates with all departments to provide reliability and engineering expertise with a focus on plant maintenance, loss prevention, risk management, and life cycle asset management. You will be responsible for engineering and managing minor modifications to plant systems and/or equipment, providing technical support as required to complete corrective work orders, and supporting the development & implementation of the plant reliability program.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:- Manage technical minor modifications to equipment utilizing the Management of Change (MOC) procedure
- Manage contract engineering services related to modifications and upgrades
- Provide engineering design deliverables for modifying, upgrading, or making emergency changes to equipment as required by operations and/or maintenance teams, in accordance with site MOC procedures and all appropriate codes, standards, guidelines, and specifications
- Provide technical/equipment troubleshooting support to Maintenance and Operations departments as required
- Ensure all assigned work scopes are in compliance with Canadian Electrical Code, Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA), and all other applicable regulations, codes, and standards in Alberta
- Analyze asset performance to identify issues and ensure processes are in place to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
- Perform robust data-based reliability analysis using statistical modelling, reliability modelling and prediction, fault tree analysis, and Weibull analysis
- Perform equipment failure investigations with key stakeholders and SMEs using appropriate root cause analysis tools as part of Defect Elimination and Bad Actor Programs
- Utilize the Management of Change (MOC) procedure to provide, manage, and execute engineering solutions to equipment failures and other issues that impact plant reliability within their specific engineering discipline
- Maintain the site vulnerability list to ensure vulnerabilities are identified, prioritized and mitigation plans are progressed
- Provide input into risk assessments related to site assets and systems
- Deliver on assigned global initiatives as set by the Global Manufacturing Team (GMT), Global Maintenance Management Team (GMMT), or Global Reliability Team (GRT)
- Provide leadership to Maintenance & Operations Supervisors to identify, analyze, and execute on reliability initiatives set by the Local Reliability Team (LRT) and Site Management Team (SMT)
- Actively participate in the sites behavioural-based safety program by completing safety observations on a weekly basis
To qualify, you will need an undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline, with registration as a practicing Professional Engineer with APEGA, along with the following:- Minimum of 8 years related industrial experience, with at least 5 years in a reliability, maintenance engineering, or facilities engineering role
- Certified Reliability Profession designation (CMRP or CRE) is an asset
- Experience in scoping, designing, and managing minor equipment modifications or small engineering projects in accordance with Management of Change (MOC) processes and industry best practices
- Experience with equipment failure investigations, troubleshooting & root cause analysis
- Experience with reliability analysis/modelling is an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office & CMMS programs

Lethbridge School Division is accepting applications for a temporary Caretaking position.
The Caretaker is responsible for completing cleaning duties and responsibilities to a high standard within the school. The Caretaker is responsible to the Head Caretaker or designate. The Caretaker must be able to communicate and interact positively with students, co-workers, and school administration to ensure all needs are addressed at the school site. A Caretaker can make minor adjustments to the building, equipment and furniture. They will work the evening shift during the school term, however day shift is required periodically (rotation shift/non instructional days). Caretakers must be able to work unsupervised for long periods of time. Caretaker work demands good health in order to fulfill the physical demands, e.g., lifting chairs, filing cabinets, furniture, boxes of materials, cleaning equipment and climbing stairs/ladders. The daily work routine involves the use of various chemicals.
The school is used by the community after school and into the evening, requiring all staff to be aware of the demand and needs of all the user groups. Candidates must be team players within both the caretaking and whole school staff and be able to relate to students.
Typical duties of a Caretaker include but are not limited to:
-Cleaning thoroughly all washrooms, fixtures, partitions, and shower areas
-Washing of all desks, counters, doors, windows, etc.

We are a small, locally owned and operated company. We provide the utmost professional and efficient services to our clients. We are seeking to grow within the industry and become a leader in excellence with a name to remember.
The lucky candidate will acquire a steady run, just south of town in the Grovedale area. The work will be steady and consistent for the next foreseeable future. You will be working with the same guys and clients all the time and get to know the area and run efficiently. The schedule will be mostly 10 days on, 4 days off. There will be flexibility to have more or less days as well, I am happy to work around days as everyone has a life!
Wages will be very competitive, especially if contracting.
Duties:
- Operate a 3 Ton, single axel 6m³ pressure truck
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including OH&S and Alberta Traffic Act guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in proper working condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate job efficiencies
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Valid Class 5 license with Q airbrake endorsement with a clean 3 year abstract
- H2S, First Aid required
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
- Knowledge of proper loading and unloading procedures for hauling chemical
- Familiarity with TDG and WHMIS is a must
- Ability to read maps and navigate to various locations using GPS or other navigation tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork and recordkeeping tasks
