Tangled Garden is hiring!
We are seeking energetic, positive, and experienced front-of-house wait staff to assist with our 2023 Plein Air Picnics season.
Nestled in a living wreath of roses and bittersweet, our charming Tea Room is described by the Curated Guide as “something out of a fairy tale.” In this rustic converted shed in the heart of the Garden, you can feel a gentle breeze off the Bay of Fundy as songbirds flit past the open double French doors. We are seeking wait staff candidates who will be responsible for packaging picnic baskets, serving guests, and bussing tables in both the Tea Room and plein-air locations around the Garden. The various tables are located a stone’s throw from the private kitchen and prep area, so comfortable outdoor-friendly walking shoes are required! Our exquisitely packed baskets are resplendent with house-made scones, fresh lemon curd and clotted cream, Tangled Garden jams and jellies, patisseries, fine tea or coffee, and a selection of refreshing cocktails and mocktails. You will adorn the baskets with fresh-picked flowers and herbs from the Garden.
We welcome hundreds of visitors from all over the world, and the successful candidate will appreciate that we offer our guests a high standard of service. With the kitchen, garden, shop, weddings, and Plein Air Picnics in full-time operation during the summer months, working at Tangled Garden is fast-paced and variable. You must be flexible under pressure and able to think independently, multitask, and solve problems on the fly under the guidance of an on-site supervisor. Up-to-date Food Handling Safety and First Aid certificates and a minimum of two years of related work experience (food service, customer service, sales, tourist industries) is required.
