Reporting to the Director of Care or designated clinical leadership team member, the Personal Support Assistant helps with select nursing and personal care tasks in accordance with residents plan of care and, which are within their knowledge and skill, while adhering to regulatory and Reveras standards, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- To support and provide one on one care as needed;
- To provides day to day services and support to individual residents to offer a warm and safe environment, ensuring comfort and well-being of residents are met;
- To support with safe lifts and transfers of residents;
- To guide residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, restorative care office and dining room as required while contributing to a positive resident experience;
- To act as a resident companion and provide comfort and support to residents as needed;
- To assist with feeding while adhering to safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food service;
- To assist in completing general duties as directed by the care staff including, but not limited to organizing closets, restocking shelves, making of beds, support residents with high needs in choosing their clothing and dressing;
- To participate on an as needed basis in interdisciplinary meetings for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating resident care and service needs;
- To work cooperatively with peers and supervisors using the Quality Improvement/CQI process ensuring timely follow-ups;
- To assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents utilizing infection control principles;
- To communicate with supervisor about problems related to resident care and/or safety;
- To handle tactfully and courteously with residents, residents families and reports any concerns/complaints to the supervisor;
- To participate in the orientation process for residents, students, volunteers and care staff;
- To actively participate in ongoing educational opportunities and transmits information to the rest of the care staff;
- To maintain resident/resident information confidentiality;
- To uphold and promote the organizations values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Reveras Code of Conduct;
- To complete all other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications- High School Diploma;
- Working towards completing Personal Support Worker program (or provincial equivalent certificate program) or any other healthcare program nice to have;
- Volunteer/Working experience with seniors in the community health services setting nice to have;

We are looking for a nanny to care for 3-4 children (3 children for the full summer and 4 children for half of the summer). The weeks with the extra child would be at a higher rate. Two kids are 7 years old and two are 4 years old. There is the option of a live-in or live-out arrangement. Dates would be approximately June 24 to the first week of September. The Opportunity
Are YOU ready to enrich lives? We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Care, your expertise and careful administration of resident care will help ensure we retain our reputation for delivering the best in person-centred care for seniors across Canada.
This role includes:
Fostering relationships with residents and families to ensure plan of care is resident focused and carried out;
Managing, evaluating, and facilitating residents plan of care through collaboration with the resident, family members and the interdisciplinary team;
Participate in residents care conferences;
Collaborating with the Director of Care in facilitating resident move-in and transfers;
Ensure safe medication administration according to regulatory requirements and Reveras policies and procedures, including delegating medical administration to Unregulated Care Providers such as Personal Support Workers or Health Care Aides;
Complete Clinical Assessments that ensure appropriate resident care;
Liaise with interdisciplinary team and external care providers to facilitate best plan of care for each resident;
Lead and support Personal Support Workers and Health Care Aides in your home area to maximize resident care.
What YOU bring
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in applicable Province
Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers
Strong assessment, documentation, communication and critical thinking skills
Strong written, oral and time-management skills, including demonstrated experience delegating tasks to Personal Support Workers / Health Care Aides
Proficiency with Technology including: Electronic Health Records, Electronic Medication Administration Records, Online Applications
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Check (VSC)

Hi! I am a single mom hoping to find the perfect fit for a live-out nanny to assist with care for my son.
The position will be Monday - Friday. 25 hours/week minimum.
5 hours per day = 6:30-9:30am and 4:00-6:00pm
Additionally, I will need someone who can stay during sick days/school holidays, etc. Will reimburse fuel costs for any errands or travel required. Willingness to do Light meal prep/housekeeping is a bonus.
