Bowenwork® Information Sheet
• Bowenwork® is a gentle, physical, and therapeutic method used for correcting all kinds of physical pain and restrictions such as sciatica, tennis elbow, arthritis, and lower back pain. It is safe for people of all ages, from infancy to the elderly.
• Bowenwork® uses a light rolling motion over the belly of a muscle, tendon, and sometimes neurovascular bundle. These precision moves stimulate increase blood flow to the muscles, improve metabolism of local soft tissue, and release fascia tension.
• Each Bowen treatment involves multiple sets of moves with short 2-minute pauses for body integration. Bowen techniques are performed over loose clothing.
• Although a Bowen move is done on specific parts of the body, its effects are felt throughout the entire person. It has a balancing effect on the autonomic nervous system. Do not be alarmed if you feel slightly disoriented after the treatment. Some individuals also experience slight headache as their body undergoes a temporary detoxification reaction.
• For the first 24 hours after each Bowen treatment, make sure you consume sufficient quantity of fresh water to facilitate your body’s effort to remove lactic acid and other waste products. Due to fascia tension and muscle restrictions in areas of pain previously, tissue waste was not easily released. Frequent gentle movements throughout the day is also very beneficial as your body reprograms itself to move normally again. If you have been sedentary for more than half an hour, stand up and walk around the room for 5 minutes. No other physical modalities/treatments for 5 days. No extreme hot or cold.
• Depending on the individuals receiving the treatment and the history of the pain/restriction, Bowenwork® recipients should expect improvement in 3-5 visits.

Can you imagine receiving a HEALING EXPERIENCE for TWO or THREE HOURS of QiGongMASSAGE and you choose whether you want light, medium or deep pressure. You won't regret seeing me for an extraordinary energetic acupressure movement, healing touch and muscle/organ manipulation therapy.
Spend TWO HOURS or more with a Chinese Medical Qigong Practitioner with over 18 Years’ complementary and alternative healing experience (see my Certificate - attached). I am also trained in many other modalities (reflexology, Indian head massage, etc., that are added bonuses to your healing session.
Have you ever seen someone for healing and one hour feels like 15 minutes? The healing session is over and you're like "seriously?" "I could literally stay for hours and hours - no doubt!" LOL ... I know I'm one of those people and I think some of you are too.
I also provide homework prescriptions to take home with you to continue on your journey to self heal.
Intuitive Healer for over 18 Years. Spend TWO or more HOURS with a Certified Chinese Medical Qigong Practitioner (See Certificate included).
Chinese Medical QigongMassage Therapy
QigongMassage Therapy is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that consists of five popular systems that include manipulation of not only external skin, muscles, tendons, joints, nerves, and inner fascia but also the internal organs and organ systems.
QigongMassage Therapy is divided into five different systems of instruction: [ie Jie Gu, Tui Na, Gua Sha, An Mo, and Jing Point therapy].
The purpose of QigongMassage is to release muscle tension, remove stagnant qi and blood, maintain a healthy nervous system, increase hormone production and strengthening the immune system and to experience a deep relaxation and a feeling of complete comfort. To clarify any confusion with other similar techniques, please note: ***I am not providing RMT massage therapy. *** But, rather experience and benefit from an ancient traditional Chinese Medicinal Qigong therapy rooted in eastern wisdom and recently brought to the west three decades ago.
1) Jie Gu – Bone Setting: Jie Gu Therapy is used for bone setting and to adjust the patient's body alignment. The literal translation for Jie Gu is "knotted bone," which describes the art of manipulating the bones and ligaments to unravel the trapped junctions of Blood and Qi channels in the patient's joints.
2) Tui Na – Muscle Manipulation: Tui Na Therapy focuses on external tissue manipulation and adjustment of the muscles and tendons to adjust abnormal Qi circulation within the body's muscular system. The translation for Tui Na is to "push and grasp." It was developed primarily for correcting the misalignment of the body's bones and muscles due to traumatic physical injuries.
3) Gua Sha – Scraping Therapy: Gua Sha Therapy is used to regulate febrile conditions, such as flu, cholera and malaria, and to treat musculoskeletal conditions. The translation for Gua is "to scrape or scratch" and Sha is defined as "cholera," or sand-like maculae (referring to the red discoloration that is raised on the skin by the application of scraping). This therapy focuses on external surface tissue scraping, usually around the neck and thorax areas. It is commonly used for promoting Qi and Blood circulation, removing toxins, clearing Heat, cooling the Blood, removing stagnation, and dissolving masses. A jade scraper (coin, bowl, or spoon) is used for purifying the Qi and transforming the Shen (Spirit). A water buffalo horn is commonly used for pulling Heat and toxins from the patient's body (occasionally ceramic is used, but never glass or plastic). The two internal manipulations are used to treat the organs and nerves.
4) An Mo – Visceral Manipulation: This has also been called Dian Xue An Mo (Cavity Press Massage). An Mo focuses primarily on Qi extension and soft-tissue and internal organ manipulation. Although the literal translation means to "press and rub," this therapy focuses primarily on internal visceral regulation (Visceral pain is a dull ache that stems from the internal organs), concentrating directly on the treatment of specific Internal diseases.
It was discovered that there are about 108 cavities where finger pressure can access Qi channels. Cavity press techniques adjust Qi in the channels to make the related organs either more positive or negative. Check out my post about Migraine Headaches.
5) Jing Point Therapy - Jing Point Therapy is employed for channel and internal organ regulation. Jing point therapy uses pressing, pinching, clapping, and tapping techniques on specific energetic points and energetic channels. These techniques are employed to promote Qi and Blood circulation, balance the body's Yin and Yang energy, tonify weak organs, dredge the channels, and expel pathogenic factors.
Check out my post about Migraine Headaches and Relieving Symptoms associated with Radiation and Chemotherapy.
May I remind you of the reasons to come see me for QigongMassage?
1) Relaxation: physical, mental, emotional, energetic, spiritual2) Recovery from Fatigue: acid accumulates in the muscles and causes aches and muscular soreness
3) Preventing Illness: smooth Qi and blood circulation is essential to maintaining the normal functioning of our thinking and our physical body
4) Slowing down Aging: as we grow older, our Qi and blood circulation slows down and become more stagnant
5) Speeding Recovery from Sudden Environmental Qi disturbance: When our environment changes suddenly, the Qi in our bodies will often not be able to change as quickly. This problem is especially serious today when modern transportation can bring you from one part of the world to another in a very shorty time.
6) Relaxation: there is not only the physical comfort of Qigong Massage, but there is also the emotional comfort
** Feel free to ask me to send you more information regarding the five systems of QigongMassage.
** Many clients see me because I do TWO hour and THREE HOUR healing sessions and even longer.
** See my reviews and recommendations.
** My healing sessions are all about length in order to troubleshoot everything because 60 or 90 minutes is never enough, especially if you have body issues that never seem to go away.
