ONE OF A KIND COBRA!!
1967 AC Cobra!! **Contemporary Classic Restoration**
FRESHLY SERVICED 427 MOTOR, 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION, BEAUTIFUL RED PAINT, SUPPLE BLACK LEATHER, AND MORE!!
Build Facts:
- FULLY BUILT BY: CONTEMPORARY CLASSIC MOTOR CAR COMPANY
- CCX VIN (REAL VIN IS CCS), AUTHORIZED BY FORD.
- BUILD WAS COMPLETE IN THE EARLY 1980'S.
A Little History Of Contemporary Classics
• The 1st car was built in March of ‘79
• Your interpretation of the chassis numbering system is correct; taking that further, if the number was 062482-2; it would have been the 2nd frame built on that date.
• In the fall of ’83 when the 3rd generation of body molds went into production, we switched over to the CCX numbering system which has no date tie ins. The CCX-3 Series were the 427 SC cars, the CCX-4 were the Daytona coupes and as best I can recall the 289 FIA cars were either CCX-2 or CCX -5 series cars.
• Contemporary Classics was sold to the Burtis family in Oct. ’96.
• Since all of the company records were destroyed when Burtis went “Belly Up” in 1999, I can’t tell you for certain how many kits were produced, but I’d estimate that the Contemporary’s total production was somewhere between 1,400 and 1,500 kits.
• If you are talking about the inspiration for the numbering system rather than the company, the CSX letters used in the serial numbers of the original cars stood for Carroll Shelby Export, staying with that same concept, CCX stood for Contemporary Classic Export.
• CSX3045 was the basis for our molds.Contemporary Classic Cobras are considered among the most accurate reproductions produced, with the molds being made directly from an original 427 S/C Cobra, CSX 3045. Contemporary Cobras are made complete with correctly shaped and flared rear fenders, and provisions for a 3½-in. Le Mans fuel filler cap. Inner panels including front fender wells, floor pans, foot box assembly, and trunk liner are double bonded to the body shell in a close tolerance assembly fixture which rendered proper alignment of all inner panels within the one-piece body shell.
The body, complete with inner panels, is in effect a robust monocoque unit, as opposed to a traditional kit car with its inner panels pop riveted to the body shell. An important Contemporary exclusive is tubular steel substructure hoops with full tubular steel tube frames that have been bonded into the hood, door, and trunk openings, the rear lip of the driver/passenger compartment, and the leading edge of the cowl. The Contemporary 4-in. OD by 1/8-in. round tube chassis is based on the original, but increased wall thickness reduces the flex inherent in the original AC-built chassis. It combines rigidity superior to the cut and weld rectangular tube frames commonly used by replica manufactures, while simultaneously providing lower mass and lighter weight, and of course, is in keeping with the design and specifications of the original car. The round tube chassis is not only more authentic but more rigid and stronger which results in better handling and driving performance.

This is a true all original survivor that has always been very well maintained, a rare Jetta that was manufactured in Germany. I purchased it a couple of months ago as a car for my wife to drive but she wants me to buy her a newer car after I did a great deal of reconditioning, she has never driven it although it is insured and plated. The interior is in near mint condition but does have a few cracks on the dash top which is typical and since the paint is original, it is faded in some areas and there are three toonie size surface rust areas but the undercarriage, rockers and panels are excellent since the Jetta had been undercoated much of it's life and those are the only two issues with this car. I am selling it with a copy of the recent safety check which was done 100km ago and that takes away any concerns someone might have with the overall condition, there is nothing to worry about, simply turn the key and enjoy the drive. It has a 1.8L engine which has just gone through a major tune up and now I'll let you know what work has been done to the car in the last couple of months, I have receipts for everything. A complete suspension system upgrade, a right outer tie-rod end, four new tires and a wheel alignment. Also new brakes, a battery, a coolant O-ring, coolant sensor retainer, temperature sensor O-ring, thermostat and 5L of G13 coolant. A new NGK O2 sensor, 4 Bosch spark plugs, a distributor cap, rotor, plug wires and a coil. All vacuum hoses have been replaced, a PCV breather hose and PCV valve. Also a new fan / blower assembly for the cabin heat / ac units. Also, an updated sound system with CD / Bluetooth / AUX set up. I also have the original owners' manual. As you can see, I spared no expense to ensure that this Jetta was reliable and would be a survivor for a very long time. It handles great on the road and is easy on gas. It's ready to take to the classic car shows or to just simply enjoy...You won't be disappointed at this price, which is firm. If the ad is up then please don't ask because yes, it is still available. I live along the Seaway in Cardinal, call Mike at 613) 671-2009 or e-mail me anytime.

1932 Ford Model B, 4cylinder, Barn Find. It was last licensed in 1955, I have an ownership in my name. 52,861 Miles, fairly complete car. It seems like the previous owner did some work on it by painting it Green, roof insert, interior kit, but never finished it, then stored it behind his Esso station for many decades in a shed.
Engine turns over, it’s a B engine with the fuel pump, but has a Model A distributor. The exhaust manifold has been modified for dual exhaust. It still had Green antifreeze in it and the radiator looks good.
The body is decent overall. The rear wheel wells are rusty and need repair. The rear floor has a riveted patch on the driver side. The sub rails, rockers, sills, rear panel, door bottoms etc are good despite the surface rust, they are solid. The rear fenders are rusty where they attach on the body. Front fenders have had some repairs. The windshield frame is missing the bottom. Hood, grill and grill shell are nice.
The interior has an old green vinyl kit that was never fully installed. The seats are the originals with the Green covers on top. All garnish mouldings are there. Sun visors are there. The dash has a Waltham 80mph speedometer.
It’s rolling on 1935 16” wires, it has an 18” spare still on it and I found 4 more 18’s that come with it. All five Ford Model B caps are present.
The brakes are still mechanical but I removed the shoes (they come with it) so it rolls and steers easy.
It was featured in Canadian Hot Rods Magazine documenting the story of finding it, pulling it out into the daylight and bringing home. An issue will come with it. I still have not washed it, you can still see the dust line on the hood where it has a blanket on it.
It may have looked a bit cooler if I sanded it down and primed it or sprayed it satin black, but I left it the way I found it, so the next step is for the new owner.
I have loads of pictures to help you decide if your too far away to check it out in person.
I bought it to build it, but having it in storage for the last three years, I think you need to build it!
Asking 19,000 Canadian. Clean ownership/title in my name with the original vin number on the bellhousing and it’s titled as a 1932 Ford 2dr. It’s located near Brockville Ontario Canada, close to the US border. I can assist in loading for shipping. The car is able to stay here for an agreed amount of time until shipping or pick up can be arranged.
Thanks for you time!
