We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various fabrication processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-quality metal products in a dynamic environment.
Duties
Operate CNC laser cutting, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication
Set up and program CNC machines for accurate production run
Use hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers for quality inspection and assembly task
Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards
Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform basic maintenance as needed
Skills
Proficiency with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting and press brake machines
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machining operations
Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices for quality control
Mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication equipment and processes
Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely (certification preferred)
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
Knowledge of quality inspection standards and procedures

I'm seeking a part-time laborer / subcontractor / tradesman to assist with parts of a substantial renovation job in downtown Toronto (location is accessible by TTC and near QEW/DVP exits).
I have immediate work available this week / weekend and this/next week that is focused on some remaining demo & clean-up work.
After that, I'm also hiring for a steady amount of work, especially as plans & permits progress. So there would be ongoing/longer term work for the right candidate if you're available.
I'm looking to hire someone with experience doing some or all of the following tasks:
-Roof/shingle leak and repairs
- General demolition, repairs and clean-up work (this is an older building)
- Subfloor and manual flooring install (front nail/staple wood and tiles)
- Framing and general rough-in and and wire fishing
- Drywall (install/taping, patching/repair)
- Experience with masonry/brick, stairs or windows would be a plus
- Basic kitchen/bathroom work (would be after plumbing/electrical are done, and largely just Ikea assembly/install)
- I will have a small amount of plumbing and HVAC work for anyone who is licensed
I'm a hard worker, who's focused and disciplined and looking to hire someone who’s also a hard worker (preference for non-smoker, due to a smoke allergy that I have).

-Follow directions provided by Foreman or Superintendent
-Install light gauge and heavy gauge steel framing (exterior walls, interior walls, floors etc.)
-Install drop ceiling systems
-Installation of T-bar grid and Tiles
-Installation of drywall
-Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
-Train prospective employees.

-Set up and take down scaffolding as required
-Clock in and clock out on company timesheet including detailed description of duties performed.
