Up for sale is a beautifully restored 1978 Super Beetle. Quicker, quieter and significantly more reliable than when new. Retains all the style but a lot more fun to drive! IMHO this is the past, present and future of classic cars. No modifications have been made to frame or body, all new parts have been bolted to existing mounting points.
The details of the EV conversion is as follows:
Motor - NetGain HyPer9 AC Motor X1 Controller 120 Volt - The 9 inch HyPer9 AC motor is based on a high efficiency design. The motor is a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance design and holds the highest efficiency rating of IE4+ at 94% motor efficiency. The motor is IP56 sealed. The matching controller, an AC-X1 by SME Group will accept a supply side DC voltage of up to 132 Volts, and will output up to 760 Amps output, with a peak 88kW of power. The permanent magnets are a new design that are manufactured without the use of rare earth elements, but still gain a big efficiency advantage with a 173 lb/ft of torque.
Batteries – Sino Poly - 36X 200 aha Lithium Ion Battery for a 23kWh 115V battery system.. New batteries as opposed to recycled from a wrecked EV. For full specs see: https://canev.com/wp-content/uploads/sp200spec.pdf. Range is 160-180km depending on power setting chosen and how much fun you're having.Transmission – Given the torque of the motor you very rarely have to use the clutch or shift gear. Tranny is remanufactured and configured specifically for electric vehicle. The stock gearing was replaced with two high quality forward gears set at a ratio specific to wheel/tire combo with 195/75/15 diameter. The reverse gear is eliminated as the AC motor has the ability to rotate either direction by simply toggling a switch.
Heater – yes it has heat that is both reliable and free of exhaust fumes - High Voltage Double Element Heater – Supplied by Can EV. The 3000 watt heater is designed for use in colder climates. Blower runs on 12V and comes with a 3 speed switch. The original VW heater channels, ductwork and, in dash fan are retained. The added heater has temperature limiting characteristics and self-regulate for energy efficiency.
Suspension/Brakes – refreshed, strengthened and stiffened. Top Line Parts was a helpful source of advice and parts. KYB shocks all round, heavy-duty billet sway bar clamps, Sport + Rally front springs, new front swing arms. Tires are P4s. Disk brakes installed prior to EV conversion, all pads and flex lines replace.

For sale is this beautiful 1980 Porsche 911SC promptly named ‘little princess’. This car has spent all of its time on the west coast of Canada, and has lived full time on Quadra Island over two decades. Known to have four owners in its history, the little princess has been lovingly owned and used.
This ‘Super-Carrera’ is built like the quality German item you know and expect, this example doesn't shy away from its tank like feel. Doors all close with that famous ‘thud’ and no rattles or creaks can be heard from behind the wheel.
Power is strong from that beautifully smooth 3.0L flat-six behind the rear wheels. Power was originally rated at 188HP and 195 lb-ft of torque, and it feels like every little bit of it is still there. Especially considering the cars weight of 2750lbs. Certainly a well balanced performer that commands good driving ethics and rewards as such.
There are a few minor leaks which appear to be coming from the LH/RH valve covers and the transmission seems to have a minor weeping leak, but it always starts up without any effort and doesn't appear to leave any drops of oil once parked. These motors are known to be seriously stout due to the internals of the Turbo block, but without the added pressure of a turbo.
The exterior is coated in Mocha Black, and is a mirror image at all times of daylight. In 2007 a full exterior repaint was conducted by Comox valley restoration shop, Original restorations. All billing on this job are available for showing. The total for the work conducted was $13,532.22. Overall the body shows very well. There are minor points to make though. Along the LH rear fender there is a small blemish that has come up through the paint. Its difficult to notice but present. As well, on the engine-lid, by the 911SC emblem, a break in the paint has allowed rust to bubble underneath. It is as well small, but certainly something to disclose.
I have over 300 detailed photos of this car that I am eager to share with prospective buyers. In those photos you will see a few small surface spots of rust. Two small spots on the LH/RH door drain, and on the edge of the steep pads on the rockers. They are small surface rust areas and could easily be dealt with, but I didn't want to cover up anything on the car and show it honestly.
16’ Fuchs alloy wheels are present and wrapped in 205/55/16 tires that have great tread. Suspension has been refreshed with Koni struts and feels fantastic. Steering is as tight and responsive as you would expect from an old Porsche and the brakes work as intended. In March of 2023 a oil change was completed, along with new rear brake callipers and pads. Bill Totalling $3,539.64
The interior has the lovely old leather smell all old Porsches share. The controls are still tight and most items work. This car is fitted with a sunroof, although it does not currently open under its own power. The leather sport seats are super supportive and all actions work. There is slight wear on the drivers seat, and the rear seat, lower seat pads are starting to loose some horse hairs. Windows are automatic and work beautifully. A new headliner was fitted to the car around the time of the restoration in 2007. As shown is photos there is a part of the dash that is separating. Its minor, but important to note. Another interior item that is not currently working is the heater. The heat exchangers have rotted out and is in need of replacement for it to work again. This was only used as a summer car, so it hasn't been an issue in my world.
Underside photos are available upon request. There is some undercoating which has allowed surface rust to scale beneath the oil lines, but it all looks rather minor.
I have all service history from 1998 and onward. Service until 2002 was all done on the mainland, but then under a new ownership change, service would mainly resume at European specialty services in Nanaimo and Isle tech on Quadra Island.
The trip odometer was recently reset and caused the main odometer to not function anymore. Since this time I have a detailed sheet listing driving miles, with date. (Roughly 150kms) has been present.
I have four Porsche service manuals to go with sale. Additionally a fitted car cover, owners manual and bentley service manual are included with the purchase.
A major reason for the sale of the ‘little princess’ is due to the lack of use. Since 2012 a little over 1500km’s have been put on and it has always stored in a dry, enclosed space.
In May a professional appraisal was done by Oceanside car appraisals. They returned with a market value price of $83,300.
This is an amazing car which shows really well in person. It drives even better then it looks and I am sure the new owner will be happily engaged with this beautiful Porsche for a long time.
I am asking for $65,000. Mechanical inspections welcome, and test drives are encouraged, although only with a healthy deposit and with obvious serious interest.

I have two 1969 Pontiac Parisiennes for sale. Prefer to sell them whole, as a pair.
The cars are a bit rough and have been sitting for years, but are both complete. You’d have to decide if they're worth restoring, making one out of two or parting them out. Both have papers.
Both are 2 door cars, one is a 2+2 model, both are 350 engines with automatics.
I won’t be able to show them until the last week of May or first week of June, but I will try and get some pictures up in the coming days. If you’re interested, feel free to come look and make an offer.

This amazing creation (created when on some wicked drugs) is up for grabs. I'm not a 100% sure why the roof is the way it is but it's a good conversation piece. But on the plus side it is a 1948-52 chev cab fenders n grill. The floors are quite good, the back of the cab is also very nice and even the doors from the bottom of the window holes down are pretty amazing.

This BMW Z3 belongs to a special edition produced to mark the 15th anniversary of BMW’s presence in Japan. Its time to sell this rare and beautiful example of a E30 318is. Always appreciated, this car has been lovingly used by its caretakers throughout its 32-years on the road.
The infamous 318is really defines the light, momentum based characteristics driving enthusiasts know and love. The twin cam, four-cylinder motor loves to be revved, while providing the reliability BMW was known for in this prestigious time within their linage.
All inputs feel fantastic at all speeds and driving habits. I have a depth of experience driving this era of BMW, and I can easily say this is one of the best kept ‘drivers- condition’ 318is’s I have had the pleasure to spend time with. It has a unique, unmolested feel. Largely in part to the fact it is virtually all stock.
The only performance upgrades done were -
Magnaflow Muffler (Low to medium noise level. Very close to stock, but with a deeper tone)
M42B18 Performance ChipThe 318is was a one-year-only model and represents less then 2% of the total E30’s produced world wide. It features Recaro sport seats covered in black sport vinyl, Mtech 1 385mm steering wheel, 14” BBS basket weave wheels, IS front lip and spoiler, IS trunk spoiler and M42 Long Tube headers.
The interior is as close to perfect condition as you can expect from a 32-year-old car with some miles on the odometer. A working aftermarket head unit was fitted in the past, although the original radio is included with the sale. Driving this car garners conversations and attention almost anywhere it goes. The paint is vibrant and the trim has little aging to show. In December a mechanical and cosmetic go over was administered resulting in a new OEM IS lip which was painted OEM satin black, along with kidney and headlight grills. The hood has some minor paint chips and their are minor touch ups in a few areas of the car. The IS trunk spoiler has warped as shown in photos.(I never felt the need to replace)
In 2001 a full repaint was given. 2005 saw a minor stationary front end collision ($630.68) and in 2008 another stationary minor LH Side claim was made totalling ($1,754.31). All body panels have matching vin stickers. While not a perfect example, it is certainly strong for its age and originality. As stated in the head points, there is not any rust found. I have detailed undercarriage photos to prove this.

Mechanically everything is really stout. These motors are well regarded for their longevity, and this motor shows this as well. Largely original and untouched, it has just received a minor tune up before being put away in storage for the winter. The only flaws known is a seal at the front of the motor is started to oval from age and leaks a small amount of oil, along with a minor leak at the oil gasket.
The clutch feels as it should. It does not slip, or give the sign of deterioration in feel. Shifter bushings appear well in action and all gears are accessed easily without hesitation or grind. The Getrag 240 appears to be leak free.
BFgoodrich G-Force Super Sport tires with good tread are on all four corners, and all brakes have lots of life both between pads and rotors. A motul synthetic oil change with filter was performed at the end of last year along with a routine go over to ensure another year of consistent operation would ensue
This is truly a car to be seen to be fully appreciated. While taken care of in a close and careful manor, it wears its blemishes with pride and carries its 32-years with a honest approach. In doing so, its retains its ability to be a fantastic driver and one that begs to be used. So much so that it urges me to pass it along. I haven't used it in the last few years as much as I would have hoped, and its likely not going to change in the coming future. I check these markets frequently and I do believe its value is fairly considered at $21,000 CAD.
I am open to reasonable offers, although I will only entertain such conversations after a in-person viewing or considerable traveling distance between interested parties. Mechanical inspections are welcomed at buyers expense. (cost will be detracted from sale if made)

The infamous 318is really defines the light, momentum based characteristics driving enthusiasts know and love. The twin cam, four-cylinder motor loves to be revved, while providing the reliability BMW was known for in this prestigious time within their linage.
All inputs feel fantastic at all speeds and driving habits. I have a depth of experience driving this era of BMW, and I can easily say this is one of the best kept ‘drivers- condition’ 318is’s I have had the pleasure to spend time with. It has a unique, unmolested feel. Largely in part to the fact it is virtually all stock.
The only performance upgrades done were -
Magnaflow Muffler (Low to medium noise level. Very close to stock, but with a deeper tone)
M42B18 Performance ChipThe 318is was a one-year-only model and represents less then 2% of the total E30’s produced world wide. It features Recaro sport seats covered in black sport vinyl, Mtech 1 385mm steering wheel, 14” BBS basket weave wheels, IS front lip and spoiler, IS trunk spoiler and M42 Long Tube headers.

78 Ford Bronco.

Currently my daily driver. Mechanical, electrical and suspension all restored/ running well.
I believe I am the 3rd owner, maybe rhe 4th....This truck has spent most of its life parked. The second owner, who I bought it from, told me it was a barn find with some rust. He did rust repairs on the usual spots for these trucks: rear wheel wells, cab floors, and door frames. He also converted it to propane and put in a refurbished 351M. He put on about 3000km. Ive converted it back to gasoline and put on about 8000.This is still a project. Ive run out of steam for the finishing body work and paint, but it is my daily driver currently, so anything impacting driveability i have kept up on.
