My name is Ray and I am the owner of Ventura Anime. I sell anime merchandise like keychains, pins, stickers, figures, plush, toys, and collectibles at local conventions like Anime North and the upcoming Kitchener Waterloo Comic Con (KWCC). I am looking for an extra hand to help at upcoming shows, all are within 1 hour driving distance of Toronto.
The KWCC is on the weekend of June 20-21 from 10-6 on saturday and 10-5 on sunday. The address is the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium at 400 East Ave, Kitchener, N2H0B8. Pay is $20/hour. Tasks include basic shop-keeping duties like telling customers about prices and deals, helping with the check-out process. Key Responsibilities
* Assist customers in person and over the phone with parts inquiries, orders, and product recommendations.
* Provide exceptional customer service while accurately identifying and fulfilling parts requests.
* Use inventory management software, OEM and aftermarket online parts catalogues, email, and ordering systems to process sales and maintain inventory.
* Receive, unpack, and organize incoming parts shipments.
* Merchandise and maintain showroom displays of parts and accessories.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control and stock maintenance.
* Process sales transactions using cash, debit, and credit payment methods.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead category optimization by creating strategic plans 6 – 12 months in timeline including learnings from previous years, market opportunities, and key priorities
Be a partner to the broader Sales team on opportunities for new business development and customer requests
Work on strategic projects to support future planning and sales capabilities
Review unsold product mix and make recommendations to the Sales team on optimal items to sell

Research and gather industry market intel from internal experts and external sources, building a network, and reviewing industry newsletters/market reports
Spend time in production weekly to understand and be accountable to ensure accurate product specifications for associated category (including updating product spec sheets)
Responsible for knowing product yields for category; reporting on weekly, questioning variances and suggesting opportunities
Prepare fresh offer (responsible for providing availability and forecasted cost)
Lead commissioning on new product requests and product changes on approved items
