The Roaster/Production role is one that works under and reports directly to the Operations Manager. You will have responsibilities in the full production process, from inception to shipping. This includes roasting coffee and learning the nuance between each of our roasts. This includes our coffee farmers, exporters/logistics, and suppliers all the way to our customers. Part of your role as a coffee roaster and production team member is to help customers with any questions they may have, give customers information about products and services, take orders, and process special requests. By helping customers understand the product and answering questions about their subscriptions, our story or our impact with farmers – you will be sharing the key messaging of our company with every action you take.
Your goals:
- To provide outstanding customer service through our channels
- Roast our coffees hitting our QC goals
- Execute timely order fulfillment
- Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations
- Essential duties include:
- Creating roast schedules and roasting each coffee to quality standards
- Ensuring quality control with each roast and follow up QC procedures
- Preparing packaging materials for shipping
- Order fulfillment for coffee orders
- Communicating inventory levels with the Operations Manager
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and cleaning of production equipment
- Maintaining a positive empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
- Responding promptly to customer inquiries
- Communicating with customers through various channels

Agilus, a division of Agilus is currently recruiting a Field Research Assistant on behalf of our client in Saskatoon, SK. Ideal applicants can be post-secondary students or any professional that meet the requirements. Excellent opportunity to work full-time during the summer season!
The Field Research Assistant supports the field activities of the station Site Lead, Field Research Agronomist and Research Associate across various locations within the province. 75% of the work performed is outdoors. Work is between April 26 and October 15 2021 with a possibility of extension until the project is accomplished. Rate of pay is $17/hour with no health benefits being offered for the term.
Responsibilities:
Assist in selection and maintenance of testing locations and operating research farming equipment
Assist in managing field trials
Preparation for and planting, field plot maintenance, data collection and harvesting
Participate in document creation and process review for job-related activities
Ensure that company assets are well-cared for and properly maintained.
Skills and experience:
BSc in Agronomy or related field
2 years of work experience in plot/crop research
Familiarity with field research methodologies
Knowledge of crop productions, farming practices and farming equipment operation and repair
Working knowledge of statistics
Ability to work long hours and travel overnight during planting, growing season, spraying and harvest seasons
Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills
Pesticide applicator license, or ability to obtain
Class 5F driver's license
Personal vehicle is required for travel within the region (mileage is paid) and sometimes will be provided company vehicle
Farming background is an asset

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc./EGADZ requires a Youth Worker and individual interested in Full Time shifts for Ground Zero Outreach within EGADZ. (Shift Work Is Required - Evenings/Weekends/Awake Overnights).
EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
Ground Zero is a Transitional Housing project designed to fill gaps in housing support for youth in Saskatoon. Outreach Workers provide services to on both an emergent and long-term basis. These services include but are not limited to: emergency planning, advocacy, justice support, transportation and long-term housing support.
The ideal candidates are non-judgmental, compassionate and are able to build trusting relationships with youth.
Qualifications:
• Post secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
• Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
• Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
• Working knowledge of computers (Windows)
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures
• Must have an experienced driver’s license that reflects a safe driving record - a Driver's Abstract is required (within 3 months)

The Stress, Interpersonal Relationships and Health Lab (SIRH) is looking for couples in which at least one partner is trying to change their diet and/or physical activity habits. The main goal of this study is to investigate how different types of couples’ behaviors influence change in eating and physical activity behaviors over time.
Participation in our study involves completing questionnaires and participate in a discussion task.
