Please sponsor Community Clothing Assistance!
Donate here: https://www.canadahelps.org/s/nN67uQThis June 28th, United Way of Thunder Bay and HMCS Griffon / NCSM Griffon will be sending 13 crews out to the Thunder Bay Main Lighthouse where they will be stranded for The Great Lighthouse Rescue!
Each crew can return to shore only when they’ve reached their fundraising goal.
That’s where you come in.
Unfortunately, they can’t accept gold dubloons, but there are other ways to bring these brave seafarers back to land!
And, our good friend and Honourary Commander of Operation Lighthouse Rescue, Cliff Friesen, will be mounting a rescue fundraising mission of his own! Commander Friesen is recruiting Honourary Captains and crews who will work with him to TRIPLE each donation through a matching gift incentive!
More details to come in due course, so watch our socials for more information, and maybe even some surprises!Learn the ropes here: www.uwaytbay.ca/event/the-great-lighthouse-rescue

PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH on leisure and life experiences for the baby boom generation. We are looking for people born between 1946-1965 to take part in a study of leisure, work, and life transitions. While many baby boomers have begun to retire, others are unable to retire or are choosing not to retire for a variety of reasons. If this sounds like you, we want to learn from you.
As a participant in this study, you will be asked to participate in an online blog with others in your generation by sharing your experiences and perceptions of leisure, work, and your decision not to retire. Your participation would involve 4 sessions per year for three years, each of which is approximately two weeks. You will be asked to log on to the blog about 5 times in each session. You can create new posts and/or comment on the posts of others. If you volunteer to participate, you will be contacted by a researcher to help you set up an account and get comfortable navigating the blog.
In appreciation for your time, you will receive a $50.00 gift card annually. For more information about this study, or to volunteer for this study, please contact: Rebecca Genoe Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at 306-585-4781 or Email: rebecca.genoe@uregina.ca. This study has been reviewed and received approval through the Research Ethics Board, University of Regina.
