Have you been feeling not quite in flow lately...?
Perhaps this is time for you to dance and reclaim your spark and sparkle...?
2024 is YOUR year to spark your inner OOMPH and FREEDOM through the chakra system and be:
Grounded.
Sensuous.
Invigorated.
Heartful.
Expressive.
Receptive.
Guided.
If any of the above feel like they are blocked to you right now, see them come to life in nine weeks. You literally can see the progression and how this ripples into all aspects of your life.
So what is Chakradance?
It is a...
Fusion of dance, mandala art, meditation and vibrationally attuned music that will heal and reveal for you whatever you seek.
Modality based on Jungian Psychology (see chakradance.com for more of its essence)
Embodied practice that has you work with each of your energy centers through movement.
Deep dive into your sacred spirituality and your inner wisdom.
Gentle movement tool to help you unblock aspects of yourself and gives you permission to heal and find greater happiness in your life.
The FREEDOM Program Is 9-Weeks:
Wednesday evenings 5:30pm - 6:30pm, January 24th through March 20th at the First Unitarian Church on West Saanich Road. The Sanctuary Room is our sacred space to dance!
Some Key Aspects:
We are two certified Chakradance Facilitators and friends: Gillian Scadeng and Maureen Nowicki
No dance experience necessary. We just ask that you are over 18.
We supply all materials. Just bring a cushion for your comfort and enjoyment. If you need a chair we can supply this for you.
Chakradance curious? Discover your spark again for only $20.00 for the Introductory Workshop on Jan. 24th. We will briefly move through each of the 7 chakras in the Intro Workshop.
Early bird pricing is now available to dance the entire nine-week series.
Follow this link to pre-register:
https://buytickets.at/theconsciousvessel/1064895We look forward to meeting you. This is going to be a wonderful 2024 for you to reclaim your sparkle, your OOMPH, your sacred destiny.

It’s time to “Spring” into action for our eighth annual Giant Spring Book Sale! Saturday March 16 from10:00 am to 2:00 pm at St Mary's, 1701 Elgin Road in Oak Bay, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Browse among a wide collection of pre-owned books in excellent condition—thousands and thousands of them, on the shelves, on tables, and in the pews, each with its own story to tell. Plus a now-regular feature: jigsaw puzzles!
We are also excited to have local authors of The Victoria Writers’ Society in attendance to display their own works and meet the public.
While you’re here, enjoy live music, share a cup of coffee or hot dogs or the Archdeacon’s famous pulled pork or vegan sliders from the grill, and a chat with your neighbours.
The Churchmouse Bookshop—which is also open every Saturday, 10am - 1pm—receives good-quality used books from the Greater Victoria community and gives them out to new owners in return for cash donations in support of St. Mary’s charity efforts and partners. In 2024 we continue our support of the Food Bank at St. John the Divine, Threshold Housing, Our Place Society, and more.
So, come and browse the books and enjoy the community. Bring your friends. Bring your children. Bring the dog. Admission is free. Donations of books in advance of the sale are welcome (received on Saturdays 10am-1pm)!

Join us at St Mary’s for a unique blend of exceptional jazz rooted in the context of meditation and prayer. This evening's music will be provided by The Maria Manna Trio. 1701 Elgin Road, Oak Bay.
Evolving out of two ancient services of prayer as the sun is setting—vespers and compline—the service of Evensong is an opportunity to put the events of the past day into perspective, to ground one’s body, mind and spirit in preparation for the restorative night of sleep. Whether you are a seasoned jazz lover or a newcomer to the genre, you will be sure to enjoy this unique and moving experience. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this inspiring and intimate celebration of faith and music. All are welcome!
A collection will be taken in support of this ongoing series.
About the musiciansMaria Manna is a well-known jazz vocalist, actress, and producer highly regarded in the Victoria music community. She has performed with several legendary artists, including Tommy Banks, David Foster, Alfie Zappacosta, and Paul Horn. She is the producer and performer of "Ladies of Jazz, Blues, and Gospel.

Join us at St Mary’s for a unique blend of exceptional jazz rooted in the context of meditation and prayer. Please join musician extraordinaire Ryan Oliver, pianist Tony Genge, bassist Louis Rudner, and drummer Kelby MacNayr, as they take us on a journey.
Evolving out of two ancient services of prayer as the sun is setting—vespers and compline—the service of Evensong is an opportunity to put the events of the past day into perspective, to ground one’s body, mind and spirit in preparation for the restorative night of sleep, when in our dreaming, our subconscious will continue the creative work of making sense of our experiences.
Whether you are a seasoned jazz lover or a newcomer to the genre, you will be sure to find something to speak to you at this unique and moving experience of making sense of your day. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this inspiring and intimate celebration of faith and music. All are welcome!
A collection will be taken in support of this ongoing series.

Fairness for Children Raised by Relatives is happy to announce the venue for the Aging and Kinship Care Gathering on Saturday, June 10th, and Sunday, June 11th. We invite you to join us at the beautiful Thompson River University Conference Centre in Kamloops.
To ensure this event is as accessible as possible, we have secured some grant funds. This means, if you are a kinship caregiver living anywhere in BC, this event is FREE to attend. We want to be able to celebrate all of you and the hard work you do day in and day out, taking care of your kinship care children.
Accommodations will be at TRU and will be shared, thereby allowing us to cover those costs for those traveling to the event. We will also be able to provide limited travel and childcare subsidies.
We are currently in the process of confirming our first 20 pre-registered attendees and space is limited, so register ASAP.
Be part of a weekend filled with learning and networking as we support each other — working together to improve the lives of grandparents and others raising a relative’s child in British Columbia.
Once we receive your registration, we will send a confirmation requesting information related to your needs.FIND OUT MORE and REGISTER
