As the Superintendent responsibilities of this position include:
- Review and understand construction plans and associated drawings
- Ensure sites are clean and ready for City Inspections
- Resolving on-site issues with trade partners & team members as they arise
- Thorough review of jobs through quality control checklists at multiple stages of production
- Performing repairs on-site as they arise, both pre and post-possession
- Coordination & completion of any seasonal deficiencies items
- Plan and execute projects from start to finish, on time and on budget
- Develop, plan and execute a project specific construction plan for completing the project on time, at a high standard of quality and with the goal of zero incidents;
- Responsible for ensuring the project schedule milestones and completion dates are met;
- Assist with identifying all tasks and working with the Sr. Project Manager in developing sequencing of these tasks into detailed Gantt chart schedules and prepare regular updates of these schedules;
- Responsible for developing and issuing one week and three week look ahead construction schedules;
- Assist with the development of the project health, safety and environment plan and be fully responsible for its implementation;
- Ensure Toolbox meetings and hazard inspections are undertaken by all workers and documented before any task is started;
- Complete weekly safety inspections and document/report findings;
- Provide overall supervision to a large workforce;
- Hold regular (weekly) construction progress meetings with trade contractors;
- Responsible for full site layout, laydown areas / material storage, traffic / pedestrian accommodation and site security;
- Ensure that all necessary equipment to complete the work is available, well maintained and properly managed to ensure optimum performance. Follow up on repairs as needed with the Sr. Project Manager;
- Coordinate material delivery and trucking requirements with the Sr. Project Manager as needed;
- Ensure timely delivery and safe storage of such materials;
- Responsible for quantifying and documenting daily work progress;
- Provide motivation and guidance to supervisors and the workforce for maximum project performance;
- Ensure site activities and construction progress is fully documented (diaries, written and oral correspondence, photographs, contract document logs, etc.);
- Act as company site representative at site meetings and liaison with the project consultants, contractors, subcontractors, owners, utility companies, regulatory authorities, the public at large and any other affected stakeholders;
- Management of the overall project site housekeeping;
- Assist with the development of the project quality control plan and be fully responsible for its implementation. Undertake regular quality control inspections and document/report findings;
- Responsible for coordinating utility locate procedure for the jurisdiction of the work, for locating existing utilities soon enough so as to not adversely affect the project schedule;
- Responsible for approval of employee time;
- Responsible for proper project close-out by ensuring the completion of all project specification and addressing project deficiencies in a timely manner;
- Lead by example and provide mentoring and guidance to all direct reports;
- Responsible for performance evaluations of all direct reportsRequirements:
- Journeyman Trade Certification is preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive field supervisory experience required. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary.
- Multi-family development experience is preferred.
- Zoom boom and/or skid steer ticket / experience for material handling and deliveries is an asset.
- Knowledge of construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.

Lethbridge School Division is accepting applications for a Temporary Casual Caretaking position. This position is commencing immediately with an expected end date of December 22, 2023.
The Casual Caretaker is responsible for completing cleaning duties and responsibilities to a high standard within Division facilities.
