Cloud Security Engineer (staff engineer and above)

As part of the Information Security team, you will help us achieve this mission by actively working to protect our staff, company, and the larger crypto communities we engage with.
Our Security Engineering team is growing,, helping Rippler’s design, build, and use on-premise and cloud infrastructure securely at scale. Infrastructure Security Engineers work on a broad set of efforts focusing on scaling and automating security infrastructure and processes. This team works closely with Ripple’s IT organization and Cloud Engineering and Operations teams to ensure we are building securely to protect our business and our customers. In this role you may find yourself working to enforce perimeters to protect all of Ripple’s environments, strategizing IAM solutions, detecting vulnerabilities and ensuring patching processes, assessing and securing public cloud infrastructure, and more. All with the intention of influencing policy to simplify user experience and keep Ripple secure.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Runtime discovery and detection in a multi cloud environment
- Pre-deployment evaluation of a multi cloud environment
- Partnering and consulting with colleagues on design and solutioning
- Securing SDN technologies in a container environment
- Working hands on with incident response to communicate capabilities
- Continuous improvement of relevant security systems and services
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5+ years of experience building and monitoring public cloud infrastructure
- Deeply familiar with AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure
- Detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits
- Deep configuration management and orchestration experience (Salt, Ansible)
- Familiar with the Hashicorp ecosystem (Terraform, Vault)

Our client, the City of Calgary requires a Senior Peoplesoft Application Analyst contractor for 12 months with possible extension to work remotely MST Hours
Description:
The city requires a Hyperion contractor to assist in upgrading Hyperion EPM from version 11.1.2.4 to 11.2.x. To stay current, The City would like to upgrade to the latest update.
The scope of the project is to upgrade the application, upgrade the servers, upgrade the database, move current applications, and applications currently in development, to the new version. The City also has specific custom processes that must be brought into the upgraded version.
Responsibilities include:
1. Successfully upgrade Hyperion to version 11.2.x.
2. Providing guidance on any functionality lost in version 11.2, and recommendations on options to bring the functionality into the upgraded application.
3. Guide and recommend business and system processes based on version 11.2 and The City’s needs.

- Réaliser la documentation interne et usager des fonctionnalités développées;
- Support logiciel des clients;
- Participer à la définition des tâches/projets en ce qui concerne le développement logiciel;
- Responsable des échéanciers et mise à jour des projets informatiques;
- Gestion de projet logiciel;
- Contribuer au maintien du parc informatique
- Contribuer au maintien et à l’administration du réseau;
- Travailler avec le chargé de produit pour la définition des besoins.
- Possibilité de prendre en charge les plus juniors/ gestion d'équipe.
Qualifications
Avez-vous les compétences suivantes ?
- Maîtrise du language de programmation Java (au moins 4 ans d'expérience)
- Expérience en développement d'applications
- Bilingue ou anglais fonctionnel
- Bac en génie informatique, DEC ou toute autre formation équivalente
Ce qui sera considéré comme un atout:
- Expérience avec Karaf
- Expérience avec Matlab
- Expérience avec SVN
